Got the date...

I had my Dr. appt. with the surgeon yesterday. It was in a new office, the views were great, but it's a 25 minute drive. Anyway, it really wasn't a real visit(no bp, HB, or measurement check), all we did was discuss the cesection and it was decided that it was probably the best after having 2 prior. So I now have a date of February 8th in the early morning to meet Mason.

Failed the 1hr...

Just got the call from my Dr's office and apparantly I failed the 1 hr glucose test with a score of 136. I've never failed it before! But, I guess I'm older now and having big babies in the past makes me more prone to GD. They are going to schedule the 3hr test at the hospital, next week I guess. I better enjoy the Thanksgiving pies and goodies tomorrow, because I may not get to have the Christmas ones!!!

28 week Appt....

I had my routine 28 week appointment today along with the dreaded glucose test. I chugged down the orange drink at 9:15, read my book, and waited an hour, then had my blood drawn. I felt a little nauseous, but not as bad as I thought I would. I then had my appt.. My BP was a little elevated for me 122/74, but it was probably from the sugar drink. Up 4 lbs. Then told the Dr about my 4 hours of consistant and strong Braxton Hicks contractions last night and from the weekend before. He decided we needed to test for premature labor. OK, never heard of this test before, it's called a Fetal Fibronectin test and is done with a vaginal swab. Since I was not expecting to be seen in the nether regions today, I had not shaved and I warned my Dr of this. He laughed and said "it's winter in Maine, no one shaves". I say, but I usually do and I'm not that granola. He laughs again and says, trust him, he's seen hairy and I wouldn't believe all the things he has seen. Anyway, the results should be back by Friday. I don't think I have preterm labor, I think I just have been forgetting I'm 7 months pregnant and not a spring chicken anymore and over doing it. Though, with my first baby, I did go into labor at 32 weeks and they stopped it with terbutiline. I had him at 36 weeks when my water suddenly broke.

I go to the surgeon on Dec. 7th to talk about the csection or whether I'm trying for a Vbac.. Then I have one more appt. with my Dr. before I'm handed over to the surgeon for the remaining of my care, as my Dr. is a family practitioner and doesn't perform surgery.

So that's it for now.

Definately Feeling pregnant...

I had a rough weekend with feeling "pregnant". Had back pain, then some stomach pains, not sure if they were really contractions or not, but then I got a ton of major braxton hicks contractions. Still had them on Sunday and Monday. Today I'm just feeling big and the bladder pressure is definately there, having to go a lot more than normal. Little Mason is very active, which is a good thing, though he didn't seem to like the braxton hicks, he squirmed a ton with each one of those. The sleep apnea is bad and now I'm only able to sleep downstairs in one of the recliners, which hurts my hips, but at least I can breathe. I had a horrible night on Sunday, was awake 5 hours with insomnia(which I got with my last baby for the last 3 months). BUT, luckily I slept pretty well on Monday night and last night, so hopefully the insomnia was just a one night thing(crossing my fingers). I don't want this to be a whiney post, I'm just trying to keep track of what's going on. I go back to the Dr next Tuesday and I hate to see how much weight I have gained(I've not been eating very well).

Double Digits!!

Oh My!!! I'm down to double digits in the days left of this pregnancy, 99 to go!! Assuming I go to 40wks and don't have the scheduled csection(which I still haven't decided on yet). It is getting so real that we are actually having another little baby. And with the way he is kicking me today, I am being constantly reminded of his presence. Just with in the last few minutes I have gotten some huge kicks that can be seen from the outside.
